Activity category
On Awero/Cities of Learning platforms, you may find plenty of opportunities, but which one is for you? You can filter Activities by Categories.
An Activity can be any type of learning experience. It can be an event, internship, volunteering, digital experience, project, space, course or workshop. Completing an Activity leads to earning a Badge which later can be exported to an Open Badge.
A category is a type of action that Organisers can assign to Activities. It helps learners understand what kind of experience they can expect when joining an Activity.
Users can see categories of activities at the homepage of the platform below the map and search field (some platforms may have this feature disabled).
Organisers have to choose the Activity category when creating Activity at the section Add a category of interest. After the creation activity will be added to the platform homepage selected category.
Note! There is a possibility to add/remove categories for customized, localised platforms. The changes would impact all localised platform activities and would have some reduced features. For more information contact us at support@awero.org.
