Contenu

The seminar on Youth Worker Competence Development Pathways, Validation and Recognition is part of the Awero Erasmus+ accreditation programme, which aims to improve the quality of youth work training and recognition within the European Training Strategy (ETS) model for youth workers working internationally.

It brings Awero Accreditation partners, such as the Cities of Learning Network members, National Youth Work Associations and other institutions which are interested in the quality of youth work education and training pathways, validation and recognition of youth worker competencies.

  • Exploring and learning about the youth worker education and training pathways in participating countries.
  • Understanding the competence-based approach in youth work training and
  • recognition.
  • Idea sharing on how to implement the youth work competence validation
  • in a specific country context.
  • Getting familiar with how to use digital platforms, badges, and
  • certificates for youth worker competence validation and recognition.
  • New contacts and networking with youth work and training organisation
  • which care about youth work professionalisation and recognition.

This badge certificate is a micro-credential, which confirms that the person completed the the seminar on Youth Worker Competence Development Pathways, Validation and Recognition

The residential seminar occurred from 8th to 11th June 2026.
The seminar participant carried out preparation activities before and follow-up activities after the course. 30 hours of work (equals 1 ECTS) is the estimated time the learner invested to achieve the following learning outcomes:
  • Learning about the youth worker education and training pathways in participating countries.
  • Understanding the competence-based approach in youth work training and
  • recognition.
  • Idea sharing on how to implement the youth work competence validatio in a specific country context.
  • Getting familiar with how to use digital platforms, badges, and certificates for youth worker competence validation and recognition.
  • New contacts and networking with youth work and training organisation, which care about youth work professionalisation and recognition.
