Join February 2025 Cities of Learning Community Call. During the call, we will invite you to take part in a significant initiative centred around the creation of a quality label for open badges - a tool for acknowledging and validating learning achievements in non-formal environments, providing individuals with tangible evidence of their experiences, skills and competencies.
As we strive to ensure the credibility and efficacy of open badge programs, we gathered essential inputs from a diverse group of stakeholders representing various perspectives and areas of expertise in 2 big Cities of Learning events:
- International seminar Growing recognition with Open Badges (28. - 28. 11. 2024)
- International seminar Quality Label for Open Badges (21. - 22. 1. 2025)
The collaborative efforts of these diverse groups played an important role in shaping the criteria and standards for the quality label, ensuring that it reflects the needs and priorities of the broader community. Now, we wish to present you with the finalised version and invite all of you to join our piloting and apply in the name of your organisation and get the Quality Label yourselves!

Badge earner joined conversations about Cities of Learning Network initiative "Quality Label for Open Badges".
The badge earners got to know:
- Detailed project and procedures connected to the Quality Label for Badge Recognition.
- Insights, expertise and contributions from various experts on the topic of quality standards and validation of learning as well as share her/his own.
- Colleagues, experts and enthusiasts in the field of non-formal learning, providing individuals with tangible evidence of their experiences, skills and competencies.
- The exact protocol on how to apply for the Quality Label in the name of his/hers organisation.
