Exploring learning and teamwork through games: Playing SpaceTeam
This badge recognises your commitment to exploring how multiplayer games can strengthen communication, collaboration, and learning in youth work. It is awarded to youth workers and youth work managers who engage with the activity content and resources and demonstrate an understanding of how cooperative games like SpaceTeam can meaningfully support youth development and teamwork.
This badge aligns with the SNAC Digital Competences Framework for Youth Work, particularly within the following competencies:

To get this badge:
Complete the following steps:
- Reflect on your experience playing SpaceTeam (or a similar cooperative game) and identify three key communication or teamwork skills demonstrated during gameplay.
- Explain how cooperative games can support learning, empathy, or inclusion in youth work practice.
- Design one practical idea for using a multiplayer game in a youth work activity, including its purpose and expected learning outcomes.
Evidence: Submit a structured concept note outlining:
- The purpose of using a multiplayer game in youth work
- Target group and expected learning outcomes
- How communication, teamwork, and inclusion will be supported
- A short reflection linking the concept to your learning from the activity resources
