This badge recognises your commitment to understanding and integrating digital youth work into your professional practice. It is awarded to youth workers and youth work managers who explore the activity content and resources and demonstrate an understanding of how digital youth work aligns with youth work goals and can be meaningfully embedded into everyday practice.
This badge aligns with the SNAC Digital Competences Framework for Youth Work, particularly within the following competence areas:
- Shared Guidelines and Peer Learning – building a common understanding of digital youth work and integrating it into practice
- Supporting Creative Self-Expression – meaningfully using digital tools and methods in youth work
- Identity Growth – understanding how digital environments shape young people’s experiences and supporting their development in digital contexts
Earning this badge demonstrates your capacity to critically reflect on digital transformation in youth work, apply digital tools and approaches in a purposeful and inclusive way, and strengthen the quality and relevance of youth work in a digital society.

To get this badge:
Complete the following steps:
- Explain what digital youth work means in your context and how it supports the core goals of youth work.
- Identify at least two digital activities, tools or content that you use (or plan to use) and explain how they benefit young people.
- Describe how you contribute to building shared understanding or guidelines on digital youth work within your team or organisation.
Evidence: Submit a short your youth work practice reflection describing one real or planned youth work activity where digital tools are integrated. Clearly explain:
- How the activity aligns with youth work goals
- Which digital tools/methods are used and why
- How it benefits young people
