Tasks
Task no.1
Issued by organiser or scanning QR code
Make a plan with your coach on which tasks you will perform to gain control over the following skills:
  • Explaining methods to avoid threats to my physical and mental health related to the use of technology.
  • Selecting methods to protect myself and others from dangers in digital environments.
  • Discussing digital technologies that support social well-being and social inclusion.
  •
Examples to develop these skills:
The use of technology is inevitable nowadays and can make our daily lives easier, but it can also bring risks to our physical and mental health. Therefore, it is important to be aware of these risks and know methods to avoid them.
  • A practical example of how to practice these skills is by starting with identifying specific risks you could encounter when using technology, such as eye strain, neck and back pain, RSI, and stress. To avoid these risks, there are various methods you can use, such as taking regular breaks, setting up an ergonomic workspace, and limiting the amount of time you spend using technology.
  • Besides avoiding risks to our health, it is also important to protect yourself and others from dangers in digital environments, such as phishing attacks, malware, and cyberbullying. To do so, it is important to take safety and security measures, such as using strong passwords, installing antivirus software, and avoiding sharing personal information online.
  • Finally, it is important to recognize digital technologies that can help us promote social well-being and social inclusion. For example, think of social media and online communities that allow us to connect with others and increase our sense of belonging, or technologies that enable us to work or study remotely, which can increase access to work and education for people who might otherwise be limited due to geographical or other restrictions.
In short, by being aware of the risks of using technology and knowing methods to avoid these risks, we can keep ourselves safe and protect our physical and mental well-being. By also being aware of ways in which digital technologies can help us promote social well-being and social inclusion, we can make our experiences with technology even more valuable.

But it doesn't stop there - increase the value of your badge by adding your learning process and achievements to your badge. This enables potential employers to gain a better understanding of your digital skills.
