Create a plan with your coach on which tasks you will perform to master the following skills:
  • identifying simple technical problems when operating devices and using digital environments,
  • and recognizing simple solutions to these problems.

Examples to develop these skills:
  • Imagine you've just come home from a long day at work and you want to relax by watching a movie on your smart TV. But when you grab the remote and press the power button, nothing happens. What now? It could be that your TV is not plugged into the outlet, the batteries in the remote are dead, or something else is wrong. If you're not technically inclined, such a situation can be very frustrating. But by practicing how to identify simple technical problems and solutions, you can tackle these situations more easily. For example, you can learn to check first if your device is plugged in and if the remote batteries are still good. If that doesn't work, you can try unplugging the device and plugging it back in or resetting the remote.
  • Imagine that you've just bought a new smartphone and you want to take a selfie. You open the camera app, but you can't find the selfie mode. You try pressing different buttons, but it doesn't seem to work. In this case, it's important to know how to identify simple technical problems. The problem is that you can't find the selfie mode. One possible solution is to look for a button with an icon of a camera with a reverse arrow because this is usually the button to switch cameras. Once you've found this button and clicked on it, the camera should switch to the selfie mode.
By regularly practicing how to recognize these types of problems and solutions, you become more adept at operating devices and using digital environments. This way, you can more easily deal with technical problems in the future and avoid getting unnecessarily frustrated.
Step 1: Choose something you sometimes struggle with, but keep it simple.
Step 2: Come up with some possible solutions, and if you can't think of any, maybe someone in your environment can help you brainstorm possible solutions.

But that's not all - increase the value of your badge by adding your learning process and achievements to your badge. This allows potential employers to gain a better understanding of your digital skills.
